This date was actually several weeks ago, but since I'm so behind in blogging anyway I figured I'd include it. We went to a free jazz night in Addison. Mama kept Evie (she is a VERY willing babysitter...we are so blessed!). Anyway, we grabbed a couple of slices of pizza from a local pizza joint, brought our own Cokes (cuz we're CHEAP and proud of it!) ;oP along with a picnic blanket and chairs. This was back in the day when it was still raining and tolerable out and that night ended up being absolutely perfect.
Earlier that day I had bought a little $5 Lego kit for Richard (He's a big kid and loves Legos!). We also brought along the little Scrabble Keychain that he had bought me for my birthday. So we got to listen to great music, eat pizza, and basically act like kids. It was so fun! My husband managed to beat me at my own game though. I got the word "truckload" but he still beats me because he manages to get most of the triple and double word scores. Drat! (See the people in the background going "Look at those freaks taking pictures of themselves with toys!" Hee hee!) Thanks for such a wonderful time, Hubsley! It's so fun being married to my best friend!!!

YAY for date nights! I just read the article you sent around and thought it was great! I forwarded it to several people.
Matt and I can DEFINITELY get too lax in our dates and romance sometimes. It is hard when there aren't parents close by for free babysitting. We are trying to swap with other parents more and even have hired our teenage neighbor once or twice.

P.S. Those people's faces behind you are funny! Oh well! It's not like you'll ever see them again, right? :)
This post just makes me smile. You guys are so neat and we are glad to know you!
