First Foods

The week after we got back from camp we started Evie on solid foods (if you can call baby food "solid"). Her very first food was cereal, and after that, green beans. So far, Evie has tried: rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, green beans, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, applesauce, bananas, and squash. She seems to like it all. She doesn't give a huge response to new foods, but appears quite contemplative. We also give her foods in a mesh "teething bag." It is awesome! She's had apples and ice, but her favorite thing in the mesh bag is BANANAS. She went to town on the bananas today, just sucking away. It was amazing how much she could suck out of it. I also gave her little tiny pieces of banana. I tried to get her to take them off the tray, but she preferred to open her mouth and let me pop the little banana bits in. She's definitely taken to eating!

I am glad Evie likes the mesh bag. Katherine wouldn't touch it. But then you know what a great eater Katherine is.

Feeding Lucas new foods has been my favorite thing about being a mommy so far... well aside from the sweet smiles and giggles and thing! ;)

YAY! I'm glad that Evie is liking all of her new foods. Grace used to be a wonderful eater and has gotten pickier and more opinionated the last several months. It is so frustrating! I think, "What happened? You used to love veggies?!?!?!" At least she LOVES almost all types of fruit.

P.S. How did you do that picture thing with the boxes and several pics in one big box? And how about the 2 Polaroid pics of her 7 month pictures? Was it with a scanner? They both look very cool!
