More Blogging Friends

I get to add 2 more links to my blogging friends section! Jennifer has a son, Lucas, who is about a month younger than Evie. We met through my friend, Laura. It's fun to have someone close to Evie's age around. She's usually the tiny one (although I think Lucas has already surpassed her in weight...she's a little one). :o)

Kim and I were in a Bible study together that meets on Saturday mornings. She and her husband are now missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators and they live in Tanzania, along with their 2 kiddos. It's pretty cool to compare life as a mother in Africa to life as a mother here. Some highlights (some of which I learned pre-blog) include: Kim learning from another missionary that some women there nurse their babies while the baby is on their back...They just flip "it" on up over their shoulder! We decided that, convenient as that might be, that's not a goal we aspire to in breastfeeding! ;oP Another is the appearance of mongeese, monitor lizards, and monkeys in their backyard! Wow!

Wow! I can NOT imagine "flipping it" over my shoulder to nurse my child! Amazing (and gross) all at the same time! :)
