Grandparents

I wanted to include some pics of the grandmothers with Evie. I would have a picture of Granddad with her, but he is not too comfortable with holding her yet. The one time he held her was the day of the Super Bowl. I just took him by surprise, plopped her in his lap, and said, "Here you go, Dad!" Then I grabbed the videocamera to record the moment but I didn't snap a picture. Oh, well.

Evie loves her grandparents and they love her back.

"Grandmama" (my mom) babysits for us, which is wonderful. It's nice to have such a willing babysitter for when Richard and I need a date or when we have a photography gig. It's also great to have her here when I need advice about being a mom.

"Granddad" was the one who first got Evie to track something with her eyes. He wiggled his fingers over her head when she was on the changing pad and she followed those fingers everywhere he moved them. Way to go, Dad! :o)

"Nana" (Richard's mom) has been such a trooper! Since Evie was having the fast breathing in the hospital, they encouraged us to not let others hold her because it got her over-stimulated and made her breathe faster, so Nana didn't even get to hold Evie her first trip out. But she got to make up for it on her second trip here. She'll be here again soon to spoil Evie some more. :o)
