Evie and I went with Christy and her daughter, Katherine, to the arboretum. It was a gorgeous day--even a little hot! I had to find a little hat with a brim for Evie. As you can see, it was a little too big! Dallas Blooms kicks off on Saturday officially, but you can't tell flowers not to bloom until Saturday, so we got the sneak preview. It was WONDERFUL to get out of the house and see the beauty of God's creation and hang out with a friend. As you can see, Evie had mixed feelings about the whole business and Katherine was very curious about this new little friend.
