Richard goes to DC on business fairly regularly and we've always wished I could join him, but it hasn't really been practical (not too fun touring DC by myself). Last week we had the perfect solution: Richard's co-worker, Robert's wife Kelly was recently laid off (but has already found another job--Yay!) so we all decided to go to DC together. So, Kelly and their 10-month old, Spencer, got to tour around with Evie and me during the day while the boys slaved away at the Pentagon. It was kind of slower-going touring with kiddos (stop to change a diaper, stop to let them eat, etc) but overall they were real troupers and seemed to enjoy one another. Spencer is crawling and pulling up, so although he's younger than Evie, they are in about the same spot in their motor development, so that was great.
Here's a slideshow of some of the sights we saw in DC. I'll post more specific stuff later.

Great pics, Jen! I love the one of y'all in the Vietnam Memorial reflection.
Glad you guys had a good time. Still wish we would have run into you guys randomly while we were there too...that would have been so funny! Oh well, we'll see ya next month!
Love,
Jen
We've missed you via blog posts. Evie looks like she is moving along quite nicely and it looks like y'all had an awesome time in DC
