We used part of our economic stimulus check to purchase a new carrier for Evie. It is by "Ergo" and I love it! I believe you can carry a child up to 40 pounds in it and unlike Baby Bjorn, you can carry them on your back. This is just a lot easier on me. The hardest part is getting her in it, but I'm getting better at it. As you can see in the second picture, there's a little hood that you can put up so their head won't flop back if they fall asleep. We are going to D.C. soon and I'm hoping to use this purchase when we get on and off the subway so I can be hands free.

P.S. WHEN are you going to D.C? We are going to Pittsburgh tomorrow to visit my family for a week and since D.C. is only 3 hours from there, Matt and I are leaving Grace with my folks on Monday and Tuesday for a get-away! :)
