The Heavens Declare the Glory of God

My husband really amazes me. He is so passionate about photography and he takes advantage of every opportunity to get neat shots. One time he even made a "star tracker" which tracks stars as they move so you don't get a blur. He admits that might be kind of nerdy, but I think it's pretty cool. When we were dating (or were we dating yet??), he went to Lake Powell for a wakeboarding trip. They rented a houseboat and I asked him to take a picture of the stars for me. True to his word, he came back with a beautiful shot of the stars.

Here are a couple of shots he got in Colorado:

The moon:

Jupiter plus 4 of its moons! (there's a bit of blur since he didn't have the star tracker with him). I can't believe he got that with a camera!!

I got to see Jupiter and the four moons through Sam's telescope and it was pretty cool.

What makes me even more nerdy is that I spent months making a star tracker and then never learned how to properly align it. (I bet it would have taken 15 minutes to learn that. ;o)
