Evie's Antics

Richard & I have gotten such a kick out of discovering Evie's little quirks, so I thought I would list some of them here for your enjoyment.
1. Evie has this habit of crossing her legs at the ankle. The lactation consultant at the hospital got a big kick out of it...she'd never seen anything like it. We use cloth diapers (as well as disposables now and then) and that's one problem with the cloths...they are so fat that they keep her ankles too far apart to cross! :o)
2. She has this little sound that she makes that sounds like a chirp. It's so cute and we've tried to get it on video but it's unpredictable so we've been unsuccessful thus far. Our friends, Paul & Laura, said their son did that but only until he was about 3 weeks old. We may be missing our chance to capture it on film! :o(
3. This is one of our favorites: As Evie is gearing up for a good cry she snorts and makes her basic fussy noises. Just before she's about to let out the big whopper of a wail she either coughs or she sneezes...it's hilarious! When Richard is holding her, if she starts to fuss and he hears a cough or sneeze, he immediately starts jostling her because he knows the big cry is coming.

4. She must know that Mommy & Daddy are photographers because she's already starting to pose. As you can see from the photos, she likes to put her hand under her chin...what a thinker!
