Evie, you are definitely a two year old now. Here are some of the things you're up to lately:
1. You love art.
2. To say "yes" you say "Mmmmm!" or "Si Si!" quite enthusiastically. You are starting to nod (see number 3) but usually only when specifically asked to say yes, not when you mean it.
3. When you nod, you tilt your head back and just leave it there rather than tilting back, then back down. :o)
4. I'm amazed how quickly you learn the meaning of Spanish phrases after I translate them for you (Mommy and Daddy are getting more consistent about speaking to you in Spanish. It's a struggle to remember and be disciplined about it, but we feel it will serve you well in the future)
5. Your favorite "toy" right now: Mommy's keys. You have discovered that you can go to the front door, push the special button, and make the horn honk. If we try to take them away, you throw a tantrum (Your tantrums aren't too bad yet, but these keys are giving us a glimpse of what might be to come).
6. You are starting to use more words.
7. You are beginning to choose to walk instead of crawl. Crawling is still much faster for you, so it's still your default, but you are walking more and more.
8. You shrug your shoulders up and down (alternating shoulders) when you hear Mommy say "wiggle worm."
9. You love your new music class and seem to enjoy participating by clapping, dancing and saying "more" as soon as a song is over. You were a little more assertive about going to get your instrument than you were last week.
10. You love to push your cart around outside.
11. You sometimes point to the door and make your grunting "I want it!" sound (see #12) to tell us you want to go outside.
12. I'm sorry, but sometimes Mommy and Daddy don't like your "I want it!" sound. We look forward to you learning more words so you'll be able to communicate in a different manner.
13. You enjoy the slide a lot and even went on a medium-sized one all by yourself the other day...you squealed!
14. You give lots of kisses (still with a wide-open mouth!)
15. I love your hugs and kisses!
16. Your favorite food is bread (at least it's whole wheat bread). You say "Brehh!"
17. You love your daddy very much and ask about him when he's at work, but I think you are officially a Mommy's girl right now. Daddy says that when Mommy leaves for Bible study on Saturday mornings, you fuss and call for her quite a bit.
18. You shake your head for "No" most of the time, but now you have started to say "Nay, nay, nay!" A couple of times I've gotten an official "No" out of you.
19. The default answer is always "No" even when the question is "Do you want bread?" So, this proves that your No isn't always No.
20. You can be very loud after you eat--you get "fat and happy" and like to yell. If we are someplace that has high ceilings then you yell even louder because you like the echo sound.
You are waking up now, so I'll have to add more later. Evie, you are so much fun! We love you very much!

Yes, she is a true sweetie! I love the way she snuggles when it is near "night-night" time and the way she says, "Shhhhhh" with her index finger on her mouth (and sometimes in her nose!). You all are doing such a good job with your precious little girl.
5 more things and it could have been a 25 random things about me on Facebook.
Evie is such a sweetie. My favorite is the love pats that she gives Caroline.
