This year we premiered Richard's now-famous Drinking Chocolate (really fancy, really FATTENING hot chocolate). When he and I traveled Europe a few years ago, we went to a spot in Paris that my French tutor highly recommended. It's called Angelina's and they are known for their Chocolat African (say in French accent, please) ;o) There was a line to get in and once we sat down they (seeing, no doubt, that we were tourists) asked if we wanted the Chocolat African. So obviously, that's what the tourists always come for. It was HEAVENLY!! Oh my goodness! If you ever go to Paris, you have to go to this place. Anyway, a year or two ago, Richard and I were talking about how much we wished we could have some Chocolat African so he experimented and came up with a really good version of his own.
This year's Chili Night was different because some of our "usual suspects" couldn't make it. In fact Chad & Kathy now live in San Antonio :o( and Christy & Sam were in Norway. A lot of the usual crowd did come though, along with several new friends. It was such a blast!!! I love Chili Night! :o) Now if it would only stay chilly here in Texas!
Ron & John helping out with the Chocolat, as Richard "supervises."

Fun & Fellowship (This photo really shows what our "new" living room looks like)

Ever since we got married, when we have friends over, we take a picture and add it to one of those flip photo albums. It's a lot of fun to look back and reminisce. Here's our photo of "Chili Night, 2007" our 6th or 7th year running! As you can see, Evie is not in the photo. This was when she was still sick, so my mom was kind enough to watch her until her bedtime.

hmmmm...

All right, Loza!
Get you some!!
Such a fun, festive idea! LOVE IT! :)
P.S. Matt and I are hoping that it will stay SORT OF warm in TX since we will be there next week for Thanksgiving and want to enjoy the warmer weather! AFTER turkey-day the temp can drop! ;)
Like the new room! Good job!
Looks like a fun night. Too bad we live in "New Mexico" or we could get together more often - come to think of it, I don't think I've seen you since Amy's bachelorette night! That's sad. Ok, New Year's resolution is to see my Dallas friends at least once a year!
If you look closely at the first pic, you can see the mohawk that I am sporting. Yeah... I'm progressive.
