The House Project (continued)

Here are a few pictures of the living room in progress. We had the paneling all over the walls (painted white) plus a paneled built in bookshelf that was stained a dark color. (For those not familiar with our house, it's the space to the right of the fireplace) We even took the paneling/shelving out of this area and Richard replaced it with sheetrock so we can mud it and texturize it and use that space differently. We're not exactly sure what we'll do there, but in the past we just shoved a small entertainment center in front of it with a TV on top, so we'd like to actually use the space better. We're hoping to perhaps save up for a flat screen TV and mount it in there at some point.

In the meantime there is a guy that we found out about via church friends who we hired to do the rest of the mudding and texturizing for us which is awesome! He thinks he'll be done by the end of the week and then we'll just need to paint, replace some molding, and do the laminate floors. Whew!!
